Carol has a vast array of marketing experience and has worked on both the agency and client side throughout her marketing career, which began in the early ’80s. In addition to being the Client Services Director and copywriter for IdeaSource, Carol has been the lead copywriter with Frontier Airline’s award-winning advertising & marketing department, Carol crafted targeted brand voice messages for various assets, including website, email, social, print, radio, digital and outdoor media. She got paid to make animal puns.
Also known as the preferred copywriter for Sage Hospitality, Carol worked on a project basis to create and remodel copy for several properties. Projects have included Éilan Hotel & Spa San Antonio, JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek, and SpringHill Suites San Diego Oceanside/Downtown. The goal is always to get the heads in the beds.
Before IdeaSource, Carol was the public relations and marketing manager for Rock Bottom Restaurants, the national restaurant/ brewery concept. She handled all aspects of national and local marketing efforts, from conception to implementation. She was responsible for public relations activities and served as company spokesperson. Her creative company-wide programs and targeted promotions realized goal-breaking results.
For ProSports Marketing in Ft. Lauderdale, FL., she handled sponsorship packages for clients and properties, including Toshiba, Domino’s Pizza, Norwegian Cruise Line, Ryder Systems, Toyota, Super Bowl XXIX, Doral-Ryder Open, The Lipton Championships, GTE Byron Nelson Classic, The Miami Heat, The Florida Panthers and The University of Florida Gator’s Football.
During her time at Burson-Marsteller in both San Francisco and New York, Carol coordinated public relations and promotional efforts for clients such as Chevron USA, The Clorox Company, the California Milk Advisory Board, Coca-Cola, AT&T, Procter & Gamble, American Express, Perrier and Frank Sinatra.
Carol’s marketing experience also includes sporting goods retail, destination management and event design. She grew up in Denver, Colorado and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Lewis & Clark College.
